Thank you so much for this! My 88 year old Dad is dealing with this and it's hard to see. He has been hard of hearing his whole life, but it is much worse now. I am also 63 and recently went to have my hearing tested. My hearing loss is slight, and I don't need hearing aids yet, but your article made me realize I need to plan for them! Also, there is some evidence that hearing impairment makes dementia worse! It is such an isolating thing.
