A friend offered to give me fake nails once (forgive me if I suck at the vocabulary, I’m kind of clueless when it comes to cosmetics). I was keen to give it a try until I learned about the sheer commitment involved. You’ve gotta fill them in! Keep them polished! And, you can’t just peel them off, since they are adhered to the nails underneath.

So with you on this! Never got it. And when you get the gel manicure, if you don't go back in time to get them "professinally" removed -- they just stay on your nail in pieces (yuck(.
