All you have to do is speak English and participate in fun activities with people from Spain, Italy, or Germany. Sound fun? You bet it is!
I had read about these English immersion programs for like 4 years before I finally went. I kept hoping that one of my kids would want to go. They have programs for adults and for teens. You have to pay for your own airfare over to Europe, but that is it. Literally it. The company that runs these language retreats pays for your hotel and all your meals, plus they have special events that include meals and presentations.
I ended up convincing my son to go because he needed service hours to graduate from high school and his hours were pretty low. See, if teens participate in this program, they get 100 service hours! Because they are volunteering their time for a week.
