I so hear you on this. When people simplify anything too much, the solution is not found. I hate when I see people talking about how people need to eat and what they have to do and never mention context -- the endless bad food choices all around us. They put it all on the person. Which makes people feel like failures. But there is too much money being made off of selling crap food. When did Americans become obese? The 1980s. What was introduced then? Sort of secretly? High fructose corn syrup as a cheaper sweetener. It literally encourages obesity == not that it's not all its fault, but blaming just the fat person is not the answer.
